Philosophy

Atmosphere, Ambience & Energy – are the key ingredients that create the soul and personality of your home. They combine to make visitor's experiences unforgettable and most importantly allow the occupants to live in an environment that conveys great pleasure and satisfaction everyday.

For me, the success of the house comes from the owner. If the house is tailored to meet the needs of its occupants, it is one that evokes a sense of wellbeing, comfort and happiness. During my ten years in practice, I have learnt that no two households share the same requirements, therefore I adopt a blank canvas approach when beginning, allowing the client to lay down the first brushstrokes of their own style.

My philosophy is to first understand how my clients live in the space, and tailor the design to best enhance the surroundings and ultimately their lifestyles. As the making of a home is a deeply personal experience, I work closely with my clients to ensure that their own style is reflected throughout the home, I see myself as helping to facilitate their vision, and interpreting their ideas, and translating it into a wonderful space that is a reflection of them, their personalities, experiences, travels, passions and life. My goal is to leave each design experience so that the client now finds their home a place of solace, relaxation and restrained elegance.

My inspiration for my work comes from a variety of different sources and from many varied places. I am totally in awe of all Parisian architecture and antiquities, and admire greatly the style of 16th Century Palladian Villas for its perfect scale and perspective. However my greatest source of inspiration is surrounding myself with positive and well spirited friends and family, who encourage, challenge and inspire me. ......
